I am really chuffed I found my Dunk inspired #nikeconsidered after moving these are awesome -Nikes 90’s effort to combine innovation, sports culture and environment. It actually took ten years to seed to market, I believe official release was actually in 2005.
To those embalming their kicks in plastic preservations or staving off wear for best - don’t, Wear your kicks ✌🏾

Nike were pivotal with addressing a closed loop system in the 00s creating a range of shoes called “Nike Considered” I totally forgot about these. The aesthetics wasn’t to everyone’s liking but the idea was cool as it created 63% less waste than a comparable Nike shoe

A new wave of Brands will create products to create circularity in mind, this was a great project by Vibram that offered a solution for a building a concept around products end of life.

With the new environment we are living in, could adaptability or modularity play apart in tackling hygiene issues or greater than that could the way we use products towards positive impact in regards to looking at the duality of use (ecological benefit) or to solve a human problem (social Impact).

Most importantly this train of thought, could also incorporate tweaks to existing designs to be more inclusive to people with disabilities.

From self lacing, modular systems to integrated technology. The latest and greatest example of this is to look at the "hands free" Nike Fly Ease. No straps or zips, double-hinged system: the foot slides in, the insole is lowered, and the Fly Go Ease closes and adjusts on its own, engineering and design at its best.

Another favourite of mine is Lining Mix Ace sneaker which is a modular design, which allows the wearer to switch between sandal and sneaker.

Transformable footwear concepts have usually started with smaller brands or makers, but we are seeing an interesting shift in this becoming more scalable with bigger brands. Could this be a very small contribution to the solution of future eco strategies.

Man oh man just like everyone I am absolutely craving to emerge from this cloud of uncertainty . In the meantime fuelling the mental stimulus is continuous inspiration.

Love these @nike crater foam #airforce1 regenerative reinterpretation. The vamp is reimagined, revealing a recycled foam backer created with 20 percent recycled TPU. The remainder of the upper is built from 24 percent PU recycled synthetic leather. ♻️✌🏾 The grind recycled sole is the best feature in my opinion.
